HELLO, I’M CLAIRE
I began my yoga journey after the birth of my middle son in 2001. I loved the way it made me feel more centred, happy and grounded. Not only did it increase my physical strength and flexibility, but it also gave me an inner calm and clarity, developing an overall sense of wellbeing. Without a doubt yoga has become an integral part of my life.
My inspiration for teaching was born from the wish to share some of the wonderful gifts of yoga with my three young sons (now young adults). My passion for wellbeing and teaching grew organically from there. From teaching young children (extensively in schools) through to teens, adults and families within the local community.
My teaching style is kind and nurturing and I firmly believe that the practice of yoga is for everyone and every ‘body’. The classes are inspired by the classical Hatha yoga tradition as well as Yin yoga, restorative practices and Yoga ‘sleep’ (Nidra). The sessions ensure a grounded, nourishing practice that is holistic and meditative, including directed breathing and visualisations, longer held postures, gentle flowing sequences and deep relaxation.
I support with warmth and empathy, offering a practice that is accessible. Within a safe and caring environment you will be able to develop your own unique path and understanding of yoga in a relaxed and enjoyable way.
I take a holistic approach to wellbeing. Yoga has taught me to ‘listen in’ and stay true to myself. I am committed to holding a space for you wherever you are in your life, to help you discover whatever you need.
Yoga is a life long journey – always learning and growing. Through the unique combination of the body, breath and mind we can discover our pure essence.
